Sweet synthwave motivation: Keep On Running – Screams From The Sun

Citing their main influence as 30 Seconds to Mars, Italian-born but London-dwelling duo, Screams From The Sun, have altered their course slightly from their usual indie rock leanings, keeping their finger on the pulse to deliver a gorgeous synthwave bop with twinned messages of perseverance, and escapism.
With a pacy beat that serves as the foundation for some tasty layered guitars and synths, and drums that remind you that you’re listening to through-and-through rockers, Keep On Running is the perfect pick-me-up. Francis Jupiter’s vocals are a treat for the ears, particularly as they soar into the stratosphere in the middle eight.
If there’s anything we’ve learnt over the past few months, it’s that we can’t Keep On Running all on our own, and Screams From The Sun have encapsulated this wonderfully, being joined in a glorious gang vocal towards the end of the song by fans who recorded their parts at home during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
