Ehiorobo never really spent a lot of time listening to all the classic jazz pioneers, but did binge a bunch of different artists who did. On his new LP Joltjacket he reimagines R&B in a unique and aberrant way. This music is coming from a place of true artistic expression. From dissonant noise punk to honeyed soul and pop, this album can’t sit still, with each track offering new and interesting vibes.
