West London’s Alana Maria blends R&B and drill together on her new single Wait / Pause. The track undoubtedly has that “London” feel, if there is such a thing. Mike Brainchild is responsible for the drill beat that gives the track its unique edge.
Featuring on the track is Cristale, a rising South London poet and rapper who is currently making a name for herself in the UK rap scene with her innovative and highly skilled freestyles, sampled over the sounds of Pa Salieu through to Drake.
Alana explains; “I’ve been a fan of hers for a while and along with all the recommendations from my peers, including my good brother Robert Bruce I had to get her on the track! As soon as she rapped her verse, I knew it was gonna be a hit”.
