The only person who will ever truly understand you is yourself. I know that may sound despairing, but here is an album that helps to illuminate that idea in a more positive light.
On this album, London freak folk artist Ana Rita de Melo Alves (aka. Anrimeal) idiosyncratically shifts between themes of sorrow, optimism, and self-reflection. Realistically, any of the songs could be said to evoke one of these feelings from the listener. For a debut album, it makes a big statement and I’m rather impressed.
