A little slice of happiness: Kanikani Kiwi

With the world the way as it is, it can sometimes be a bit of a struggle to raise a smile. However, Polish-born New Zealand musician Maciek Hrybowicz may have perfected the antidote by releasing the remixed version of his original song, Kanikani Kiwi!

Delightfully bouncy and joyful, the song is a three and a half minute instrumental shot of jazz, joy, and joviality that is guaranteed to get those hips moving and feet tapping (those of you using the Pomodoro method to work at home will find this the perfect way to start a short break).

With absolutely gorgeous instrumentation, including guitar lines that come close to echoing the sounds of Santana and David Gilmour in different places, the song was written to capture the movement of the Kiwi – a flightless bird that is renowned for its ability to dance. And while this reviewer can’t shake his tailfeathers anywhere near as well, this song has certainly given him the inspiration to give it a good go!
