On his new single Only One Night, he succeeds in this endeavour, combining a sultry and nostalgic R&B sound with a variation of soul and pop influences. The track eases in with warm atmospherics, then hits a smooth, abating beat drop. Things stay fairly minimal throughout, allowing Lonely Boy’s silky vocals to shine through.
