Songwriter and producer Scrimshire has teamed up with Swedish singer Miryam Solomon to bring us this glorious new jazztronica escapade called Heron. There’s an intimate texture to it, and that’s not just down to Solomon’s attractively whispered vocal, but also to the warm and rich instrument arrangement.
The track is jazz at its core and incorporates mainly acoustic string instruments like guitar, violin and double bass. With an abundance of plucking, the instruments often have faraway counterparts, foregrounding their sonic possibilities.
